The fix is now to write the descriptor data + into an intermediate sysmem chunk and then do a single memcpy() of the entire descriptor + set into the descriptor buffer. As a bonus there are now also no more redundant `vkGetDescriptorEXT()` + calls when multiple uniform blocks are used in a shader.
